However, the scenario is a lot of holes and deficiencies in terms of building character to be recognized by laypeople who do not know the characters in the novel Wiro Sableng. This Wiro Sableng film is very extraordinary in terms of artistic, camera system, lighting, and the natural beauty presented. The opposite for my teenage son, who grew up with Marvel comic characters, Batman v Superman movie, and Avengers films with super sophisticated CGI techniques, they were rather unable to enjoy this film.

When I watch this movie it feels nostalgic to remember the memories of adolescence. I grew up as teenager in 1980's and I knew Wiro Sableng character from the novels. Overall this movie doesn't live up as the hype when they promote it. The story also has potential, but somehow they make it cringey. The other good thing is we saw cameo of Ken Ken, the OG Wiro Sableng. Other protagonist is not really good, except Adi Sasongko, he is so good and believable as a king. I don't think I saw Wiro Sableng, he's acting as if he is Sun Wu Kong, the monkey king from The Journey To The West saga. Vino is over doing it as Wiro, while he's good at fighting skill, on other things he lacks. It would be better if they make it simpler. The training scene in the mountain is too long. After good fighting scene at the beginning it got worse. Did they want to bring the nostalgia or something. I don't know why they choose to make the characters talk like they were in 80's movie. The pace is slow, too many characters introduction, and cringe dialogues. So when I heard they going to make a movie about him I'm so excited. As an Indonesian, I am really really proud!! This movie is an obligatory movie to be watched for next Indonesian generations, especially those who dedicate their life in film industry. At that time was not like game of throne, but it was more complex and sometimes brother kills brother and sister kills sister. Wiro Sableng 212 is not just action or hero fiction movie, but also it contains the culture of conflict among Javanese thrones in the time of Nusantara. I hope many Indonesian movies just like this, so our film industry can be better. When I was a child, Wiro Sableng 212 is the character of serious, but here the character is made to be really funny and this makes a better character. The audience can understand the complexity of the plots and can laugh at the same time because some humorous moments. Many Indonesian action-fictional or hero movie are boring, but Wiro Sableng 212 is beyond expectation. The cinematography, lightning, fighting angles, costumes, historical background are all well set to explore one critical moment of Nusantara (the era before colonization) and the Director could lead the audience to love every single scene without boring.
